| This is your first step in your new movie making career. Your first task includes a number of steps, follow them in order and you can't go wrong. 1. Divide up the reponsibilities. Choose who will be the writer, director, camera person, editor and producer. Since there are only four members in the team, make sure to share on of the five responsibilities with everyone. Look at the sheets I handed out to you in class and make sure to use them all as you complete the assignment. You will have two days to make these decisions and then you will e-mail me your list. 2. What is your movie about? This is a very important step, so you cannot skip it. You write an essay in which you will explain and justify the short story or poem you picked as the inspiration for your movie. Remember the short story or poem is only meant to inspire your movie. This means that your movie will have a story of its own you will not be making a movie about the story. In order for you to better understand I will provide you with an example: Read the text "The Story of an Hour" which inspired the movie "Maria". After you have written your essay you must e-mail it to me. I only need one for the whole group. You will have three days to work in it, but it must be e-mailed to me by Friday. |
