VOLUNTEERS

The success of any Special Olympics program is in the hands of the  tireless efforts of many dedicated volunteers.  Volunteers can  train athletes; be coaches; serve on Special Olympics committees;  help raise funds; help at an Area Event as a timer, recorder or  official; or provide extra events for Special Olympians.

VOLUNTEER TO VOLUNTEER...
We're looking for qualified individuals to volunteer within all  aspects of Special Olympics Kansas Southeast Area.  It's exciting, its fun, and the experiences will always be memorable.
The Volunteer spirit is alive and well within Southeast Area and this is  the right time to become a part of our world of winners.

OPPORTUNITIES
Sports
Serve as a certified Special Olympics Coach
Help run Special Olympics sports camps
Obtain equipment for Special Olympics athletes
Competitions
Serve as a driver or food service worker
Assist with registration
Serve as certified official or team manager
Conduct clinics or demonstrations in a new sport
Schools
Include Special Olympics in adapted P.E. curriculum
Open school facilities to Special Olympics events
Provide support at Special Olympics events
Organize members to become certified coaches or officials
Conduct a Special Olympics competition during a regular sports event
Fund Raising
Support the Law Enforcement Torch Run
Make financial or in-kind donations
Conduct fund-raising campaigns
Name Special Olympics as the beneficiary of a life policy
Civic Groups
Provide support for Special Olympics programs
Adopt local Special Olympics teams
Encourage members to volunteer their services to Special Olympics
