Television

The first main input into our childhood was those long hours we spent glued to the television screen.It seems like only yesterday when we had such classics as Blackadder, Decent Red Dwarf, American Gothic, Funhouse, Knightmare, Outer Limits, Eurotrash to feast and indulge our young minds on - to enrich our learning experience and to memorize entire scripts. if anyone knows any good links to the above shows, fell free to mail them to me, otherwise i'll have to search the net myself; and i do have a degree to study for...

Do you remember...
I specifically recommend the Mysterious Cities of Gold website. This was THE coolest programme of our generation.

I love other older comedy programmes as well. For example Monty Python's Flying Circus was introduced to me by my parents, and i loved it like my own.

Radio

For radio shows there really only is one defintive show to absorb. The people who brought us such quality items as "Gazebo", "Bird or Bloke", and "Fat Harry White's Lovelines" shall not be forgotton by loads of us late night listeners.

Music

This was definitely one of the greatest influences in my life so far, and as such has a whole page dedicated to it! Music is one thing i get passionate about - so anyone who likes Texas ,COME NAE FURTHER: FOR DEATH AWAITS YOU ALL WITH NASTY BIG POINTY TEETH!!!!! (of course, i made that bit up...) Religion

Coming from a religious background, and being a christian, i think it's fair to say that religion and God has had a large influence on what i am today... From my moral values learnt in Sunday school to my Falsetto singing range learnt as a little choirboy, God has been near me for all of my life.
However,i'm not a great preacher, but i'll field questions on anything..
Being a geologist i'm paricularily concerned with Creation vs Evolution, "Genesis" vs "the origin of the species".

Science

As i study geology at university i am quite interested in science - but in weird science, the problems with science, and little bits that science ignores...
Fortean Times - a magazine which has shaped my thinking greatly. Not debunking science, more sort of shining a torch into a few dark corners...
