When I was younger, my dad use to watch M*A*S*H all the time and I thought it was the stupidest show ever. Then I got older and I started to get the jokes, now, I love the show!
I have a book, All About M*A*S*H. It's got a synopsis of every episode and interviews with some of the cast members. I've also got the orignal MASH book by Richard Hooker, the guy who started it all. It's an awesome book, funny too, helped me get through the first few days of basic in Vernon. I've got the movie taped too. It's funny, Donald Sutherland is awesome! My favorite part is when they're in the operating room in Tokyo(I think)and they're operating. And an orderly or nurse, whatever you call 'em, was making comments and Hawkeye's like "I'm Dr.Jekyll actually and this is my assistant Mr.Hyde." Donald Sutherland does that perfectly!
Lyrics for the ORIGINAL theme song! M*A*S*H, hollywood put in the asteriks, ran for 11 years. When the last episode aired, titled Goodbye, Farewell, Amen, over 125 million people tuned in to watch. The streets were deserted, Washington's sewer system had trouble with all the toliets flushing during the commercial. I have the last half hour of the final episode taped and everytime I watch it, it makes me cry.
I hope that M*A*S*H will go on to affect generations for years to come! It's an awesome show, watch it!
