This piece is an attempt of using an adaptation of Chuck Close's technique of using broken shapes to make a large peice look senseless up close but whole at a distance. Although no where near the dimensions of his foot measured work, my piece still uses the concept of using a grid and different shapes with each square to break up the area. Within each shape in a square, I used a different line direction.
