Noel Neill has a longtime association with the famous "girl reporter." For the last seventy-eight episodes of the TV show, Ms. Neill reprises her role as Lois Lane (from 1953 through 1957). Episodes filmed for the 1955 through 1957 seasons are in color, including this 1955 scene from episode #76 about kryptonite, "The Deadly Rock." Ms. Neill's Lois is a softer, more vulnerable version of the character as depicted in the Silver Age comics of the Fifties and Sixties. (See section G.) |
In 2006's Superman Returns, Neill plays Gertrude Vanderworth, the dying widow who signs over her vast fortune to Lex Luthor.)
