1989 **** 96 mins.
In this taut little suspense film, Nicole Kidman and Sam Neill play a married couple who have suffered the loss of their young son. While on their own private boat in the middle of the ocean, a lone man (Billy Zane) comes rowing up to them. Thinking they're doing the right thing, the couple take the man in, only to be caught up in the strange web of lies and murder this man has weaved.
This is a very entertaining thriller that does keep you on the edge of your seat. However, there's not really anything truly special about it that makes it a significant individuality. Still, though, this is a well thought out film that truly deserves to be seen.
