The Process Model of instruction closely aligns with the teaching theories of Louise Rosenblatt.  I think that this is perhaps the most success way to teacher a literature based on cultural and multicultural literacy.  The class will focus heavily on discussion and response requiring students to take an active role in the reading in order to have a successful discussion of the concepts.  The use of online conferencing and short pre-discussion prompts will help to establish this type of classroom.  I believe that conversational classroom is the most effective to both communicate new ideas and share existing points of view.  Reader response is essential to this type of class.  While the online conferencing is critical to the genesis of class discussion, prewriting activities will serve as an essential purpose for evaluating whether or not a students has actually read the text prior to class.  Ideally, a very social and dialogue-based classroom will help to engage the students and allow them to share their ideas.  I feel this is a very positive environment for teaching and learning, and it is very beneficial to the literature classroom.
