| About me: "English, specifically writing and composition, has been a passion of mine for many years. I love to write; the idea of bringing my thoughts to life is incredibly exciting! After discovering this love and nurturing it through high school and much of college, I began to entertain ways that I could share that love with others. I decided that teaching would be an adventurous and rewarding path to travel. So, several years later, I am striving to realize and perfect that dream. I graduated from Western Michigan University in December 2003. It took me five and a half years to do this, mainly because of self-discovery and curiousity about my future, but I graduated with my secondary education degree with endorsements in English and speech. I began substitute teaching as many new graduates do, but through a series of fortunate events, I found myself teaching part-time at Kellogg Community College. This led me to my second job as an English paraprofessional at The Learning Place within KCC. Though I am still searching for a full-time staff position, either at the high school or junior college level, I love being able to hone my craft and teach almost daily." |
