This website was designed for Intermediate
art teachers. The content that exists here is meant to aid
teachers in planning and communicating with other art
teachers. This content is adjustable so it fits with
individual teachers and their students. In order to fully
benefit from the site one needs to understand it's
navigation. Here is an explanation of the site format.
The buttons at the top (home, curriculum,
lesson database, etc) are displayed on all pages to make getting
to these links easy. This allows teachers to check outcomes
in the curriculum section, look for lessons in the database and
also to communicate with other teachers about any issue in the
discussion forum. In the same manner, the buttons at the bottom of
the page (downloads, useful links, etc) are also always
displayed.
The links in the table on the left are
also always displayed for easy navigation. Each section is
explained below.
Some pages contain words highlighted in
blue. This indicates that there is an active hyperlink, to
provide the reader with more information about a topic.
These links will open in new windows and can be closed after use
to return to this site.
The Tools section contains valuable
templates that teachers can use to reduce time spent on making
formatting decisions.
The Multiple Intelligences section
contains a link to learn more about MI, and links are also
provided to find MI tests for use with students.
The Supplies page contains links to good
art suppliers in Atlantic Canada. The
Art History page contains good links to use in the integration
of art history in art education. The
WebQuests page contains a link to learn more about this method of
teaching. There are several links to Art Webquests that
might be of use to art teachers. The
Feedback form provides a link for teachers to communicate their
thoughts and ideas regarding this site. All are encouraged
to drop a line! This area can also be used to ask questions
that aren't answered directly in this help section. |
