The Marine Band's new interactive Kid's Corner with John Philip Sousa
and a virtual tour of the White House!
Band and Orchestra will be at various times. The schedule is posted in their classrooms and also outside my door. They can check the schedule before school. I also don't mind if they store their instruments in my room during school. They just have to remember to pick them up again after school!

3rd Grade: Mondays and Fridays
4th/5th Grade: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Be sure to buy the book,
Essential Elements 2000. Store clerks might try to sell you accessories such as cleaning supplies. It is ok to buy them, your child will most likely use them at some point in time.

Cello, Bass, Baritone players, or anyone that plays a large instrument, you may be able to leave your instrument at home and use a school instrument while you are here. However it may be necessary to tune stringed instruments once in awhile. If your parents cannot tune it, bring it in and I will tune it. Hopefully it will be still close to being in tune by the time you get it home. Be careful!

We're almost ready to start learning! Looks like so far we have lots of kids interested, so we may have a large group this year. I am hoping!

See you soon!!!
