| What instrument do you play? That is the question I am most often asked. The answer is...ALL of them! I have to be able to play it to teach it. But my specialties are piano and trombone. | |||||||||||||||||
| Do you ever play in bands? Yes. I have several groups I play in. I play mostly jazz, but also play piano in my church band as well as a few other bands. My bands play in "gigs" or concerts all around the Baltimore and DC area. | |||||||||||||||||
| How long have you been teaching? This is my 11th year. I graduated college in 1992. So you can see that between 1992 and 2006 is not 11 years. I took several years off to be with my two kids. This will be my fifth year in Anne Arundel County. | |||||||||||||||||
| Where did you go to college? Indiana University, Bloomington, IN (not the one in Pennsylvania). I am especially proud of the music school, which is the top in the nation for public universities. I studied with Dee Stewart and Ed Anderson. I was also a member of the marching band and basketball pep band. | |||||||||||||||||
| Do you have any hobbies? Music is my main hobby since I play in bands so often. I enjoy taking my kids to different places to see and learn new things. I also enjoy movies from time to time, especially comedy. I love to be silly. :) My favorite movie is Monty Python's Holy Grail. | |||||||||||||||||
