A few "key" events from my life so far...the things that have helped to make me who I am now...the things that have meant the most to me from my past...and the things that, quite honestly, I had pictures of that I wanted to share.
Events
Lincoln Pond

This is the view from my dad's camp on Lincoln Pond, NY. When we were in elementary and high school, we used to spend every summer here with the Hathaways; it's only a few miles from my dad's house. There isn't any electricity here and for awhile we had to flush the toilet with buckets of water. We could do all sorts of things at camp: volleyball, swimming; tubing; fishing; played cards and board games; four-wheeling etc. It was a great experience. We still go there during the summers but not as often now that we have all gone in different directions.
The Ausable Club

This picture was taken over Labor Day weekend in 2002, the last summer that I worked at The Ausable Club in St. Huberts, NY. The Ausable Club is a sort of country club where members spend their summers hiking, swimming, playing tennis and golf, among many other things. I spent every summer from 1998-2002 working at the front desk and switchboard. I now baby-sit there during the summer for some of the club members' kids. Some of my best (and some of my worst) memories are of The Ausable Club. (From left to right: Terra, Douw, Me, Michael, Caroline, Chris, Ximena, and...someone whose name has slipped my mind...how awful is that?)
Soccer '98-Senior Year

I played soccer in high school (grades 10-12). Actually, I spent most of my time on the bench, so I really only pretended to play soccer. I was so unbelievably great at soccer that I didn't score my first goal until my senior year. It was during a game against Chazy and it was my first and only goal. This is our senior soccer picture: (Back Row: Amy Doyle, Whitney Jackson, April Weber, Tanya Bashaw, Marnie Scott, Celeste Lee, Andrea Trombley, Joy Olcott, Darcy Charles, Coach Ernie LaPine. Front Row: Me, Terra Anderson and Randi Shaw)
Prom '98-Senior Year

Look at this classy group of ladies. This picture was taken before the prom at Darcy's house. Darcy and I got ready at her house and went with dates to the prom while the other girls went as a group (by choice). We probably would have had a lot more fun, or at least better memories of the night, if we had gone with the rest of the ladies...the after-prom "party" was at Bootlegger's in Plattsburgh until 5 am.
(From left to right: Shelley Weber (9th grade), Darcy Charles, Me, Randi Shaw, Laura Baker, Terra Anderson and April Weber-No, we were not wearing the same dress. They were quite different in person, you just can't tell from this picture).
Cheerleading '98-Senior Year

Yes, I was a cheerleader. I participated in cheerleading from 7th-12th grade. These pictures are from my senior year. The first is from our '98 cheerleading competition (No, we did not win first place. Yes, I forgot to point my toe and yes, the picture is blurry). The second picture is of my nephew Dustin and I. He presented me with my senior flower during our last home basketball game.
Junior Prom '97

I went to my junior prom with my friend, Brian Cortwright. My dress was hideously ugly, but at the time, nobody felt the need to tell me that and instead lied and said it looked great. Oh well. The picture on the far right is of Ben Nichols and myself. We were voted King and Queen. (The rest of the court was as follows: Prince and Princess: Derek Stanley and Celeste Lee. Duke and Duchess: Jamie Bassett and April Weber. Lord and Lady: Glen Muller and Randi Shaw).
