yawn

Maybe its because its a blustery night, maybe I have paranormal genes or something but I am fascinated with ghosts and ghouls especially the ones we have around my hometown of Fremantle.. Below is a brief synopsis of what you can expect from the haunted streets of my home town.

FREMANTLE TOWN HALL

Apparently a murder took place in the Town Hall over 100 years ago - a gruesome shooting. The murderer was hanged and there began the many tales of workers in the Town Hall feeling a hand on their shoulder when no-one else is around; cold shivers pulsing through their bodies. Spooky stuff huh.

FEDERAL HOTEL

This Hotel has numerous tales of grisly murders. Many people have been killed inside and outside this grande old building.
The story goes that no one in this hotel ventures down into the cellar alone. Strange noises, and taps being turned on and off are unable to be explained.

NATIONAL HOTEL

Tales of a light swinging in the balcony window have come from the many residents of the Hotel. A landlord hung himself in that very room in the 1930's depression.

BANNISTER STREET

Formerly a restaurant and now a private residence, this building was a bakery which burned to the ground in the 1900's killing at least one woman. There has been many strange appearances of a small boy and an old woman, and knives and forks dropping off the tables.

THE ROUNDHOUSE

If you get the chance, stand outside the doors of the Roundhouse on a cold and windy night and remember this...A young boy was hung not far from you will be standing. Imagine the gallows and the slow death, and the onlookers as the tale unfolds. No one has live in the Round House for over 70 years. Many Aboriginal people were incarcerated here, and the building still holds strong spiritual significance for Aboriginal people.

Inside the doors to what were once cells will be swinging, the wind blowing wildly and as the building has no ceiling the light shines in from the moon and sheds an ominous blue hue. The ropes above reel back and forth in a frantic dance. Can you feel it?
