What is prana
Prana,
Literally, means flow of life, because the word pran means life and 'A'
Indicate movement of breath. Thus, Prana is a life sustaining electromotive
Force.
Is Prana the oxygen only? No, oxygen is part of Prana, but prana is much
More than that. It is all that inhale from air, surcharged with the
Vitality of Solar Energy, plus high-energy ionizing Cosmic rays, plus
Ionizing radiation from Uranium, Thorius, Potasium and radon/thoron
Radio-active gases always present in the Air, Plus all those life giving
Nuclei present in the air, not yet fully understood.
Prana is also contained in the food we take, prana is also present in the
Water we drink and the surcharged water, besides providing minerals, is
Also ionized to some extent, charged by total solar Energy spectrum etc
Similarly, all vegetable, fruits and other foodstuff are of different
Colours and hues thus loaded with vast spectrum of energy, which imparts
Vitality to our body; and also by the Vitamins and minerals, carbohydrates
And proteins present in them.
And, as an illustration of the part played by both positively and
Negatively charged electrons and ions in life processes, it may be noted
That it is the negatively charged male sperm which is able to fertilize the
Famel ovum, to create new life. And to create ionization in our body, god has
Provided potassium as a necessary part of our body cell, and one of the
Potassium isotopes is k-40 which is radioactive and is this able to create
Ions/electrons useful in life processes, besides production of ions in our
body by other processes
For example, glucose, in the processes of giving metabolic
Energy to the body gets first converted into pyrovate C 3 H3O6 which is negatively charged product of Glucose. This is to cite just one example.
And let us not forget the so much talked about oxidants - the positively charged oxygen molecules, which when let loose, become damaging like a rogue elephant and we are asked to gulp vitamin C and Vitamin 'E' - the so called anti-oxidants which neutralize these oxidants. Thus it is seen, that both a very significant part in life processes.
Thus prana is dynamic life sustaining force, and throughout this web site we use the word PRANIC ENERGY which means universal life force that sustains life
What is pranic healing
Prana , as already explained is the Universal Life Energy which sustains life and it present in the Air .Ether, Water, Sunlight/Fire, Vegetables,
Fruits, Grains and various herbs/ chemicals/medicines- all of those agents which help to sustain life in varying degree; and their excessive use however, result in harmful side effects.
Just to cite an example sunbathing is useful activity for the proper growth of our body. But the same sunlight can harm our body with long exposure, particularly in old age; when our capacity to metabolize sunlight diminishes. The same sunlight which butures the young plant during their growth period dresses them up near fag end.
Thus the secret of pranic healing lies in always growing through proper inhalation/exhalation with Resonant mantras. Combined with balanced nutrition. And this continuous growing happens because we raise the energy level of our body/mind system through constant attunement of our chakras with the resonant sonic energy of their seed words.
Just, as in a television set, we can control the sound and picture intensity by pressing a switch in the remote control, similarly these seed words of astral chakras are the switches for stimulating them to release life sustaining hormones in the blood stream to boost our immune system to fight any invading disease. Thus we can recharge our life battery continuously with Pranic Energy to propel our life engine efficiently, by properly digesting and utilizing the food, and its circulation in the blood stream. Besides, pranic healing with a resonant mantra can expand our consciousness to make us fully enlightened person, SIDHA. Thus surcharged with pranic energy to flow through us abundantly to not only elevate our energy levels to heal us but also empowers us to heal other.
It must be stressed here that the exhale breathing mantra decongests the chakras and sweeps away the disease from the associated body organs, while the inhale mantra fulfills it with pranic life energy, may times more than the conventional pranayam, because of the resonant absorption of sonic energy by the chakra with its seed word. Such is power of word that Christ declares it New Testament. "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the Word was God".
Breathing
Breathing is very important - that sounds rather obvious,
but it is surprising how few of us actually do breath
'Properly'. Breathing is something we all take for granted and
Are inclined to forget about. However, shallow breathing can
Often be a symptom of stress. Similarly, shallow breathing can
result in fatigue and stress due to the intake of insufficient
Oxygen
Go somewhere
quiet and lie down or sit in a chair with good back support so
that your body is straight, allowing you to breath deeply and
comfortably. Make sure you are not wearing any tight clothing.
Tell yourself to relax. Work on every part of your body from
The top of your head to your toes, consciously relaxing each
part. Concentrate on your breathing, taking deep in-breaths,
through the nose, letting the breath fill your body, relaxing
and calming. Then breath out through your mouth , exhaling all
negativity and stress and ridding your body of the toxins
which build up there. Repeat this a number of times - if you
can only manage 10 minutes that would help a lot. Eventually
you will be able to practice this anywhere, any time, when you
are feeling stressed. Try not to hunch your shoulders as you
breath in - try to consciously relax the shoulders and neck
and breath from the abdomen - watch your tummy expand as you
breath in.
There are a number of breathing techniques
which are taught by practitioners of different disciplines,
either on a one to one basis or in a group, such as a workshop
perhaps. If you have a particular medical problem, then a
good place to start is with your doctor, who will be able to
advise you.
