Goals of the Chinese Lesbian Circle

The Chinese Lesbian Circle was set up by Krishina in May 1999. This is the FIRST webring for Chinese lesbians.

In most Chinese communities in or outside China, people generally have indifferent and negative attitudes towards lesbians. The existence of lesbians is often ignored, not to mention the needs.

The Chinese Lesbian Circle aims to join the homepages of we Chinese lesbians together so that we can find the web sites of others easily, and to provide a place for us to meet and get support from one another.

Also, it is hoped that sites in the Chinese Lesbian Circle can help show the public what Chinese lesbians are really like. Many people have stereotyped and outdated ideas about lesbians. This webring gives us a chance to tell the world that we are real human beings instead of stereotypes in films and TV series.

Let's show the world our pride and achieve the above goals together!

Who can join the Chinese Lesbian Circle

The Chinese Lesbian Circle is a webring for Chinese lesbians. ALL sites by or for Chinese lesbians are welcome regardless of whether you live in China.

However, you have to observe the following rules:

• All sites must have SUBSTANTIAL lesbian content.
• Individuals sites MUST be owned by Chinese lesbians.
• Lesbian or GLBT sites owned by organizations can also join this webring if there are Chinese lesbians in their organizations.
• Sites must portray Chinese lesbians in a positive light.
• Sites must be free to enter.
• The following types of sites WILL NOT be added to this webring.
  
  
  • Pornographic sites (no matter soft-core or hard-core)
  • Sites which depict Chinese lesbians as sex objects
  • Sites which negatively emphasize the difficulties facing Chinese lesbians
  • Sites which require passwords to enter
  • Sites which ONLY contain links

How you can join the Chinese Lesbian Circle

1. Add your site to the queue (You will be prompted to apply for a WebRing ID if you don't have one. Remember to write down the ID and the password as I cannot help you retrieve it).
2. Fill in a form with the necessary information.
3. You will then notified by email the result of your application in a week. If you are informed that your application is successful, you must complete the joining procedure by placing the CLC navigation bar onto your homepage, preferably on the FIRST page. You can also display them on a page which contain all the webrings you belong to.
