| This radio has a UPD2824 PLL chip. This PLL cannot be modified. You can remove this PLL and replace it with a UPD2816 PLL that is modifiable. Click HERE for the mod.
VR1 AM S-Meter VR2 AM Squelch VR3 TX Frequency VR4 SSB Carrier Balance VR5 AMC VR6 ALC VR7 RF Meter VR8 Final Bias VR9 Driver Bias VR10 AM Power L15 AM Frequency L16 USB Frequency L17 LSB Frequency Unlocking the Clarifier 1) Find the PCB behind the clarifier. 2) Solder a jumper wire from the bottom terminal of clarifier to ground. 3) Cut trace from the top terminal of clarifier. 4) Solder a wire from the cut terminal of clarifier to 8 volt source. 5) Clip one end of D25. You may "fine-tune" your frequencies with L16 and L17.(L16 USB) (L17 LSB) Let your radio sit for 2 hours with the clarifier at "12-oclock" to get used to the new modifications. |
