I wasn't always good this year
So I don't know, if my wish you'll hear
But I'd like to try just the same
As we all begin The Wishing Game
I wish I may
I wish I might
I wish upon
This star tonight

I wish for peace and happiness
To all around the world
I wish for LOVE to EVERY child
To every boy and girl
I wish that they may all get hugs
each and every day
I wish that all of their fears
Will be gently kissed away
I want them to know
how it feels to be loved
To know the kindness
And warmth of a hug
I wish that they will not live in fear
Praying their parents will not come near
I wish for no more child abuse
This is the wish I ask of you

Please, Santa, grant me this
For every boy and girl
Who lives in a loveless home
All around our world
