Why Christmas?
By~Ironfeather
Why the bells? And why the lights? That mock these blustery winter nights? Why the song and why the cheer, In this, the darkest time of year? Was it angels from above That brought this song of peace and love? Was it God's own Son who came, His Father's mercy to proclaim? And was He born and did He die, For such as you, and such as I? And have they told his story true, And can a man be born anew? And did He say 'Who-so-ever will'? And, do you think He means it still? By what King and from what throne, Was such peerless mercy shown? Was this our Savior drawing near, To ease our pain and calm our fear? And was He born, and did He die.... For such as you...and such as I? Then.....Why the bells? And, why the lights? On this...and not on all the nights?
Frosty Night
By~Chris Brown
Oh, frosty night Perfect and light No fussing or fights So cool and right. The snowflakes are gleaming In the cool, crisp air, And under the tree presents are there. The fire is burning in the hearth To keep us warm, It toasts the house from the slow winter's storm Our parents tuck us in So warm and tight, To protect us while we sleep Through the long frosty nights.
Christmas
By~Jeremy Smith
Christmas is a time we all look forward to; Christmas is a time for me and for you; Christmas is a time when families meet. Christmas is a time when we stroll the streets, Singing the carols and visiting friends. Christmas is a time when we all should mend; Christmas is a time of giving Christmas is a time not for grieving. Christmas is a time we celebrate His birth, Understanding all that His life was worth.
