Torres, B'Elanna
(played by Roxanna Dawson-Biggs) (VOY)

B'Elanna Torres is half Klingon half-human. She joined Starfleet and left after spending less than two years at Starfleet trying to become an engineer. Her father was human, her mother Klingon. She was always humiliated about her Klingon appearance.

2368,-Torres joins Starfleet.

2371,-Torres joined the Maquis some time that year or maybe in 2370. She and a number of Maquis officers attack a Cardassian starship near the Badlands. Their starship is taken unexpectedly to the Delta Quadrant. She meets Ensign Kim when they were prisoners of the Okampa. Torres had arguments with Lt. Carey of engineering and in the end, Torres becomes the chief engineer of the USS Voyager to Lt. Carey's chagrin. Later in the year, Torres meets Torres due to a wild experiment being conducted by a Vidian. Torres and Chakotay reprogram a Cardassian missile that was intended for a Maquis target and Torres reprogrammed it and sent it on its way to a Cardassian target. The Maquis nicknamed the missile the dreadnought. At the time, because they didn't hear reports of the damage it should have caused at the Cardassian target, the Maquis assumed that the target got lost in the badlands.

2372,-Torres builds a prototype robot for the Pralor robots only to in the end, destroy it. Some time later, the USS Voyager encounters the dreadnought, apparently the dreadnought was brought into the Delta Quadrant most likely by one of the caretakers. Once the dreadnought was located, Torres boards the starship to prevent it from causing havoc to a plant that the missile was headed to. She fights the computer of the dreadnought with all her ability, succeeding some times, but being stopped by the computer from completely dismantling the missile she herself reprogrammed. She is disappointed that the very missile she programmed was about to cause havoc to a planet that it was obviously never intended to destroy.
