Infinite Oasis LNT Plan

Infinite Oasis will be made up of nine camps with well over 150 people living in the village. In order to have a village operate in service to the citizens of BRC and leave no trace we are going to be instituting the following plans and procedures.

  • Our Central Fire Sculpture, the Transformational Tunnel, will be made in such a way as to catch all ash and ember in the base of the structure. A team of volunteers will do a MOOP patrol after the sculptures planned burns to prevent MOOP from scattering or collecting. We understand that the majority of MOOP will be from visitors to the sculpture and not the sculpture itself. Contact Charlie Smith [email protected]
  • Each of our theme camps will submit and follow a LNT plan for their individual camps.
  • Each Member of the village will be required to contribute 2 hours to general city MOOP pick up at the end of the festival.
  • Each day a different theme camp will put together a volunteer group to do multiple MOOP sweeps of the common areas including the village road, village shade structure, and the medicine wheel.
  • During the striking of the camps, each camp will be responsible for walking their own theme camp, shoulder to shoulder to gather any MOOP.
  • On Tuesday morning, the remaining members of the village will walk the village on a grid to pick up any remaining MOOP.
  • Each Camp will check out with either Michael of HeeBeeGeeBee Healers or Caitlin of the Chocolate Gypsies in order to insure that the camp is leaving no trace.
  • The theme camp leads will share in the responsibility of adhering to a LNT plan for the village. Each lead recognizes that not achieving LNT can endanger our ability to return as village in the future.
