It’s 2003! And with the dawning of a new year come thoughts of Black Rock City and begs the question: What will this year bring? What will we create? What will happen because WE are there actively participating?
Infinite Oasis will be a new village in Black Rock City offering an alternative and yet complementary experience to those offered by other Burning Man villages. This document is our invitation to you as individuals, groups and camps to explore the benefits of coming together as co-creators of this village. We can create an infinite oasis on the playa by acting together to realize a common dream.

Firewood.
Michael has confirmed that the creator of the 'Nausts' (the fire sculptures
that were located around the Man on the night of the Burn last year) has
very kindly offered us one of them as a centerpiece for the camp. If we
are not able to have it in the center for any reason, then we will just
have some fire drums. We're hoping that the sculpture location will be
approved: it's 15 feet high and truly magnificent. It requires a quart
of wood for each 3-6 hour fire, depending on intensity, and we are looking
at a total bill of around $900 for firewood. (This includes paying for
it to be delivered straight to the Playa by the wood man, eliminating
any need to pay for truck space and schlep it all the way up there.)
We are asking a one-off per capita payment of $20 per person per camp
to cover the cost of the firewood and other village infrastructure.
Having a fire in the the 'village square' will create a wonderful energy,
I'm sure you all agree, so I hope you will be happy to do this.
