Cast Out Thy Sail O' Christopher

Cast out thy sail O' Christopher, and sail across the sea

To land that burns a brighter sun, with riches, sand, and tree

Sail across the ocean blue, from thy homeland Spain

That you may measure this your course, to travel here again

And with thee mighty vessels take, for thy journey's far

And use a compass by the day, at night be led by star

Cast out thy sail O' Christopher, and brave thy wind and rain

That you may mark your journey home, and tell your tales to Spain

Cast out thy sail O' Christopher, for thy visions sake

Across the mighty ocean vast, for claims that you might stake

Sing out, "Land Ho", Sing out, "Land Ho"--fast tie thy vessels bind

To explore this new foreign land, and report the Queen your find

Cast out thy sail O' Christopher, and be not faint of heart

For when you cross the ocean deep, wisdom you will impart

Thy world is round, tis not flat-- as once was thought to be

Cast out thy sail O' Christopher, and sail across the sea.
