Houjun was a 18 year-old who was engaged to a beautiful young girl named Kouran (soon to have been Ri ^_~ *gets tackled by fan-girls* Ai-yaaah...x.X)
One day he carved a hair ornament for his love to show his love for her (*sniff sniff* So sweeeeet ;_;) but when he found her..she was kissing his best friend Hikou (Oiy!). Angry at the thought of being betrayed he ran off dropping the hair ornament (Waaaaaah!! ;_;). Kouran felt she was unworthy of Houjun's heart so she broke the marriage off. Houjun, thinking differently, went to find Hikou. They went into a big fight. During the fight the town was in a flood and swept Hikou away. Realising that there was no need to fight Houjun grabbed Hikou's hand (baka =P he should've left Hikou to drown! Kakakaka!!). But then, a tree trunk being swept down the water tore out Houjun's left eye (Waaaaaaah!!!!! ;_; poor thing!!) the pain caused Houjun to let go of Hikou's hand (Whoohoo!! <insert crazy, insane laugh>) thus, killing him.
Houjun found out that he was a Suzaku sichi seishi and trained to use magic from Taiitsu-kun (Poor him na no da). He then created a magical smiling mask to cover his scarred face. Well, there you have it folks. The secret to Chichiri's mask. ^_^
