                                       Slobodan Milosevic

Slobodan Milosevic was born on August 39                                                        1941.  His father left him when he
was still young.  His mother was a strong                                                          follower of Communist politics.
Ultimately, both of Milosevic's parents                                                               committed suicide.  He followed in
his mother's footsteps and after                                                                        graduating from University of Belgrade
with a law degree, he was also involved
with the Communist Party.   A couple
of decades later, he was granted the role
of leader of the communist party in
Serbia.  Not much later, he became the president of Serbia.  His ambitions
were all he followed-a Greater Serbia-and this was to be achieved at all
costs.
Milosevic was a cruel president.  He used his military through many
murderous campaigns and genocides.  He used many brutal strategies and this won him the title "Butcher of the Balkans".  He asked for a Greater Serbia for the Serbians.  To him most other races were inferior.  Therefore, he used racial cleansing-wiping out entire populations of people from areas
where his enemies lived.  Even with all this despicability, he was a man of
great tactics.  One person who knew Milosevic professionally described how
he thinks.  "He thinks brilliantly one or two moves ahead, but he doesn't
seem to think about his endgame.  He's brilliant tactician, but a terrible
strategist.  That's why he's led Yugoslavia and Serbia into catastrophe
after catastrophe."
