| When Albanians were forced to flee their homes, it is unimaginable to many of us what they would have gone through. They saw live executions of persons in front of crowds with no one to say anything, other than being happy that the person executed was not him/her. Families were separated and many were never together again. These actions against humankind have been very traumatic. We were lucky to get some survivors to tell us about the hardships that they passed. Some interviews were in English and others were translated from Albanian to English. These may contain some grammatical errors or language usage errors. These errors have been made by the person interviewed and we tried to keep the interviews as unaltered as possible. These are the interviews that were conducted by us. We asked the following people to describe in a short story/essay what happened to them during the "war" in Kosovo, and when they had to leave their homes. Valon Marigona Faton Valza |
