About Me
Well there isn't much to say about myself. I am 18 and just moved back in with my parents. It's been hell. I love my parents but they get on my nerves. I will be moving in with my brother very soon. He lives in what I like to consider my home town, Portland. I've spent alot of time there lately and it seems like the city life is the life for me. He constantly raves about it.
When I was 16 I was diagnosed with kidney failure. Quite the blow for a kid who mostly just worried about grades. I was on dialysis for nearly two years before I got my kidney. It was done three times a week for five hours each session. All I could do was sit and watch TV which gets pretty boring. I was called at 1 am when they got a kidney that was right for me. It was a pretty thrilling moment. Me, my mom and my dad drove to Portland where the transplat would be performed. When I got there I was preped and put into surgery. Right before I was put to sleep I looked over and saw the kidney on a table where a doctor was shaving off veins. Pretty cool huh?
The surgery went well and I have had the kidney for a year.
Currently I am just trying to go day by day untill I move to Portland. What I will do there I don't know yet, but we soon will see.
