Brian Welch was born in Torrance, California on June 19th 1970
Brian and Munky went to the same high school together where Brian showed him how to play a few songs. They were friends up through high school and had a friendly sort of competition between each other. Brian would goto Munky�s house and jam, if Munky would learn some new material Brian would be like �dam I gotta practice�.
Brian left home at the age of 17 and became employed in two jobs. During the day, Brian would deliver furniture, and at night, he would deliver pizzas. He also used to work in the L.A Recording Workshop, and would learn sound engineering, but he found it boring and left.
Later Munky joined L.A.P.D while Brian would just sit around and drink their beer. L.A.P.D then decided that they needed a second guitar player for when they went on tour, so they asked their dear Brian to help them out. Being the beer-loving Head we all know and love, he didn't turn it down. Brian and Munky have been playing together for more than two thirds of their lives.
With a name like "Head" you must assume that there is some sort of interesting story. This isn't really the case though,"... its because I got a big head...go get me any hat, it won't fit!�. Head is the member of KoRn who does backing vocals on various tracks. There is one song, in particular, that Head sings all of. He's the one who gets his "Tone-Loc on" for the cover of War's "Lowrider."
