Stacey Allen

In 1987, when I was 15, I started playing AD&D with my dad and some of his friends. I attended Gen Con for the first time in 1988 for one day, and I've been to Gen Con every year since except 1999. At Gen Con '89 I met my husband Karl. He used role-playing as an opportunity to hit on me - pretty brave since my ex-marine, Vietnam Vet father was also playing that game.

Mostly I play and GM AD&D, but I do enjoy playing Champions, Torg, and Call of Cthulhu (which I've even GM'd once). Usually when I GM I run TSR modules, but I do occasinally make up my own campaigns and one shots. My most notable one shot was "Assault on Fort Hellsbane". Sometimes I am referred to as "Random Limb Loss Table" - a name I've earned as I once had a roper chew off someone's leg in "Temple of Elemental Evil". (Editor's note: It was my leg, and I defy you to show me where in the description of ropers it says anything about biting off limbs).

I currently live in Seymour, Tennessee with my wonderful husband and my six adorable pets (4 cats and 2 dogs). Aside from role-playing games I also play Magic: the Gathering, any kind of regular card games I can get someone to play with me, and most board games (but I am terrible at strategy games like Risk and Stratego).
