What is KORG?
KORG (which stands for "Knoxville/Oak Ridge Gamers") is a group of gaming
enthusiasts that formed in the early 1990s. Originally we got together for
a single purpose: to run Advanced Dungeons and Dragons tournaments at
the Gen Con game fair. KORG has run a number of events at Gen Con
and other gaming conventions, many of them team tournaments (in which you
win or lose as a team rather than as individuals). The purpose of this
web page is to give you some information about KORG, stuff we've done in
the past, and any future plans we might have. You might note that these
pages are not very flashy. This is due largely to the fact that all of
the KORG folks have the artistic talent of five year olds (the ones that
get big frowny faces in art class, anyway).
Here are the current members of KORG.
Here are some events KORG has run in the past.
Here are future events KORG will be running.
Here is the KORG philosophy when it comes to
designing events and convention gaming.
In addition to running events at fantasy and sci-fi conventions KORG members
game on a regular basis. For the most part we play Advanced Dungeons and
Dragons, but we also play or have played Call of Cthulhu, Champions,
Torg, and a variety of home-made gaming systems.
If you have any comments about this web page, KORG events, or need to
contact us for any reason you can
send mail to KORG.
