Part 4
Touya awoke slowly and turned, seeking Yuki's warm body to snuggle up against. There was noone beside him though, the mattress just being warm where he himself had been sleeping. //Yuki? Yuki stayed with me this night, didn't he?// Puzzled Touya sat up looking around still sleepy.
"Yuki?" There was no sign of Yuki in his room - not Yuki himself, nor any of his things. //Oh, damn, I've fallen asleep on him again ... and something important. Something important has happened.//
Suddenly the memory of the events of last night returned to Touya, making him wince slightly. He needed to talk to Yuki. With growing worries Touya wondered where Yuki was, if he had left for his home even last night.
A knock at his door interrupted Touya's thoughts before he could act on them.
"Hai?"
"Touya-kun ..." the door opened and Touya's father poked his head in gazing searching at the tall, dark-haired boy. Silently Touya answered his father's gaze, seeing the concern in the gentle eyes. Nevertheless a feeling of uncertainty grew in the boy. He pulled up his legs, wrapping his arms around them, while he fought the increasing urge to explain what had happened.
After a few moments as Touya remained silent, Fujitaka suddenly walked into the room and sat down on the rim of the bed, reaching out to lightly touch his son's arm.
Touya stared down at his knees. "Is Yuki downstairs or ...?" he let the sentence hang unfinished in the air.
"Tsukishiro-kun left last night." Fujitaka answered the unspoken assumption kindly. Touya nodded and slid out of bed, gathering his clothes to get dressed, then he turned back to his father. "I need to talk to him." He said. "Can I phone at my part-time job and tell them that I can't make it in time, but be late for about an hour?"
With a small smile Fujitaka got up again. "I'll make the phone call for you."
"Thanks, father."

Just a short time later Touya stopped in front of Yuki's house and rang the bell. It took some long moments before he heard someone approach the door from the other side and open it. A sleep tousled Yuki gazed out at him and then suddenly gave him a warm, open smile. "Ohaio, Touya." Yuki said, sounding delighted to see the other boy.
Touya was put at a total loss by this unexpected warm welcome. "Ano ..." he stammered confused, staring at Yuki. The other boy seemed to have slept well, untroubled by the events of last night. But perhaps he was just hiding his worries behind his smile. //Though it looks real. One of his beautiful, heart turning smiles.// It robbed the tall boy of the things he had intended to say - not to mention of his heart. He could just stare at his lover's sweet smile, fearing it would falter and vanish at any moment.
The struggle of contradicting emotions - confusion, guilt, worry, hope and enthralledness - showing in Touya's dark eyes made Yuki feel warmed all through. It made him remember Li-kun's words, reassuring him. //I'm his most important person ... that what really is me, even when I'm Yue.// "Come in, Touya." He invited the other boy gently, stepping aside to let him pass.
Hesitantly Touya entered, watching Yuki as the other boy closed the door behind him.
"Yuki ..."
"Touya ..."
They both stopped, then Touya went on. "I'm sorry I fell asleep again. I ... Yuki, how are you feeling?" After a short moment of consideration he added, "How have you been feeling last night? Are you jealous of Yue?"
Slightly embarrassed Yuki lowered his gaze. "Well ... yes, I am ... was jealous of Yue, I suppose. You do care a lot for him as well, don't you Touya?" Yuki looked up again searching the other boy's face.
Touya did take his time to answer Yuki, thinking about it, before he slowly nodded. "Yes, Yuki. I care for Yue ... in a way that's close how I care for you." He said calmly, but he couldn't maintain this calm expression and his gaze became rather insecure and questing. "Yuki ... I think of you and Yue as different persons, but if I don't think and just feel, I can accept you as one being. I know you don't know how to feel about Yue and I can see why you're jealous. So tell me, how should I act towards Yue? For I don't want to hurt you anymore than I've already done."
Silently Yuki observed his lover, while he thought about his question. //How shall he treat Yue ...// "You aren't as familiar with him as you are with me?" he asked tentatively.
Touya shook his head. "How could I. I've spent so much more time with you and there is so much we share of which Yue isn't really a part ... just as an observer." The dark-haired boy was aware that Yue would be hearing all this, and he hoped it wouldn't hurt him, but it seemed to be best to be open to both of them. "And Yue still seems very distanced."
"I think I'll grow to be able to accept it that I'll have to share you with Yue." Yuki told him finally after some consideration. "So just treat him like you feel you ought to treat him. Though you'll tell me about what's going on between you and Yue, will you?"
The hesitant, shy request filled Touya with the urge to wrap his arms protectively around the smaller boy, but he hesitated, still remembering how Yuki had flinched away from his touch last evening. "I will."
Yuki's gaze hung at Touya, searching his face, while he considered if to speak his mind. "I know you don't like talking about it, but I just need you so much, Touya." He finally told the other boy softly with an embarrassed smile. Touya stared intensely at him then suddenly pulled him into a hug that was all that rough gentleness, which intrigued Yuki so much about Touya. "Baka." The taller boy murmured gruffly. "Don't you ever just leave me like that again. Rather slap me awake with a wet towel, you hear me."
Yuki nodded absently while he moulded himself against his lover's tall, warm body, muzzling his face against his neck to breath in Touya's scent. For some moments he stayed like that, drinking in the reassurance and comfort offered by Touya's tight embrace.
"Ano Touya, you said Yue kissed you? So does that mean he accepts it that we are lovers? That he doesn't mind it any longer? That ... that Yue wants you as a lover too?"
"I'm not really sure about what it means." Touya confessed. "He kind of sneaked up on me in the dark and I first thought it was you."
Yuki couldn't help it but smile slightly about the taller boy's grudging tone of voice. "It could have been me, sneaking up on you in the dark ..." Yuki hesitated. "Well it was ..."
Touya gave a low groan. "Aw Yuki, stop it. My brain gets all tangled up!" Carefully the dark-haired boy slipped a hand beneath Yuki's chin and slightly tilted his head back, so he could brush a gentle kiss against his lover's soft lips to silence him. Yuki answered it slowly, greedy for every tiny, tingly sensation the light touch caused to run through his body. Slowly Touya drew back again, to gaze at Yuki's face, his breath still spilling against his parted lips and his fingers lingering beneath Yuki's sweetly pointed chin. Gently he drew his thumb along the smaller boy's jaw. After a moment he opened his mouth, but then exhaled softly without having spoken.
Yuki smiled tenderly. "It's all right." Then he drew Touya in for another kiss, feeling hungrier for it than for the most delicious meal - and he couldn't get enough of it - enough of Touya. As they parted again, Yuki looked thoughtful. "Ano Touya, I've asked you about what it meant that Yue kissed you - for us I mean." He hinted, with a little more emphasis.
Touya blinked, looking a little flushed from their kisses, trying to disperse the pleasant clouds that had wrapped around his mind. "Nani?" Suddenly he saw the awareness slip from Yuki's eyes and the silvery wings sprouted from his back, wrapping around him as Touya took a hesitant step back. With an almost brisk movement the wings opened again and Yue gazed sharply at Touya.
Despite his usual distanced and calm composure Touya got the impression that he was slightly annoyed and embarrassed. "He wants to know if I mind if you do more ... stuff together. Tell him I don't." he declared coldly, trying to sound untouched.
Slowly Touya's brain got back to work and after his first astonishment he felt a slight grin curve his lips. "Thanks for translating." But then the dark-eyed boy sobered again. "Are you sure about it, though? It feels wrong if you have to ignore it when Yuki and I are together. But last night ..."
Yue lowered his gaze, being reluctant to answer for a moment, but then he looked up and into Touya's eyes. "Last night I meant to kiss you - and I liked it."
It was somewhat alienating to be told such words by a voice that lacked the warmth to go along with them. Touya searched Yue's beautiful face and then nodded.
Suddenly he reached out and put his hand against the pale creatures, translucent cheek, feeling entranced by touching the smooth, cool skin. "I hope you'll turn up if anything bothers you." He offered calmly.
Yue's narrow eyes widened slightly and for a moment it seemed like he'd draw back. But then he reached up and lightly brushed his fingertips over Touya's hand that rested against his cheek. "I will." With that he stepped back and wrapped into his wings again, his gaze hanging at Touya before the feathers enfolded him.
As Yuki stumbled out of the wings disorientedly Touya was there to catch and steady him. "Huh, what ...?" The smaller boy blinked confused. "Did I turn into Yue?"
Touya nodded. "He told me that he doesn't mind."
"Doesn't mind what?" Yuki asked, having lost track of what they had been talking about. Slightly embarrassed Touya shifted, his cheeks colouring a little. "Well, ..."
Suddenly Yuki understood and smiled delighted. "Hontouni!?" he exclaimed, trying not to sound too eager.
Touya just nodded again, then took a look at his watch. "Ano, I should be leaving now." The tall boy sounded rather reluctantly though, his gaze returning to Yuki, longing showing in his dark, slanting eyes.
The look made Yuki's heart beat wildly with excitement. "You'll come back after your job?" He inquired innocently. "You could stay over night."
A wave of heat rushed through Touya's body at the way Yuki looked at him while speaking his invitation and he blushed slightly, feeling stupid about it. "All right." He said somewhat gruffly, then gasped a little surprised as Yuki suddenly pulled his head down and put a sweet, hungry kiss onto his lips. Slightly dazed Touya left for his work, unable to think of anything but Yuki the whole day.
