I guess on this page it would be rather dry so please bare with me.
okay, erm...this is the week when our tutors would go through what we have researched with us. Common questions asked were:
- Who have you chosen?
- What do you like about his/ her work?
Well, as you have seen in week 11, i am doing on David Carson ( a very popular choice among my course mates for some strange reason O_O ).
As you can see from his designs for Ray Gun (above), they are very "dirty", messy, 'collage-y' to a certain extend, and that would be what attracts me most. Don't ask me why, it's just a personal preference... :)
But of course, Carson has a design style totally opposite to 'messy'. The 3 pictures directly above would be the designs Carson did for Aspen '97. The one on the right would be the piece which he finalised. As you can see, it is very simple. Simplicity is good. Okay, i know i am contradicting myself, but i do find simplicity good at times. ( i still perfer 'dirty' work...) -goodness...i am so fickle-minded... O.O-
Anyway, due to the fact that i am not a good speaker, my whole research was read instead of me doing a mini presentation. Not much conversation was made, so, all i can actually remember was her commenting that i should be more expressive... (NOTE TAKEN 'CHER!!!~)
