I've been forgetting to write it! - I'll let you know when something interesting happens! 27th Jan 2004 - A return to the Attic Rooms fixed for 20th Feb! Tuesday 13th Jan 2004 - The Fuzzy Felt Fetish Tour name announced! Monday 12th Jan 2004 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! - It looks like it's going to be a busy one! Hello to anyone in Glastonbury, especially at The King Arthur where Konrad played an unscheduled solo gig on 30th December 2003. More news and new photos soon! Tuesday 16th December - Bloody hell! - I'd better start my Christmas shopping! Don't forget we're at The Thistle and Shamrock in Folkestone this Friday! Monday 17th November - Thanks to all who turned up at Kingsdown on Saturday - there will be news here soon about the money raised. We look forward to returning the The Park Inn, Folkestone, very soon, following our first visit on Friday. Nothing much else has happened, except that Jeeesus appeared yesterday in the juice of Konrad's plum tomatoes - CLICK HERE TO SEE HIM. - (A special note to any americans reading this, no you can't come to see it, but feel free to send money.) Monday 3rd November 2003 - Halloween was fun, we've got some new photos! We also played as surprise support at The Astor Theatre, Deal, for a Black Sabbath tribute band - it was actually a surprise to us as we weren't booked until Saturday afternoon! Monday 27th October 2003 - There are a few new pics from this weekend in our album! - Another new venue for December too - The Thistle and Shamrock in Folkestone - I have a feeling it's going to be interesting!! Friday 17th October 2003 - I have to apologise if there's anyone who regularly looks at this news page, as I haven't updated it for over two months!! - You'd be forgiven for thinking that we've got no news, but the truth is, I've just been to busy to write it here. ;-) Anyone who's seen us lately will have noted the new instrument which we've been using on Radiohead's 'No Surprises' - I'll stick a picture here later for those that haven't seen it. There's good news for those of you who've been asking when we're going to play in Folkestone - We're at the Park Inn Hotel on Friday 14th November. Bye for now. x Tuesday 5th August 2003 - Thanks to all of you who turned up for Carnival night at The Walmer Castle for making it such a special night! Thursday 15th July 2003 - We're now back from a fantastic Glastonbury festival, and continuing our 'Grandad or Chips Tour'. There are some new photos in our album! Friday 13th June 2003 - It seems I've been a bit slack with keeping you up to date with news just recently. Well, last weekend, Konrad had a little holiday, after being invited to play blues-harp for Partners in Crime. This was in a fantastic little Blues Club in Enschede, Holland. Only wo weeks to Glastonbury! Wednesday 23rd April 2003 - New photos have been added to the album! Monday 21st April 2003 - Thanks to quick action by the local constabulary, a potential major incident was avoided at the weekend when Jacob attempted to set fire to a very wet umbrella. He escaped with a caution after admitting that he'd been very, very silly. A return gig at The Lord Clyde has been booked for 17th May, and rumour has it that The Brickmakers want us back too. Konrad and Jacob can confirm they WILL be at Glastonbury! (Unfortunately not performing of course, but they'll be there...) Friday 4th April 2003 - News seems to be a bit thin on the ground just lately, so nothing much to report except that The Brickmakers IS on tonight after all and the gig-list is still growing... Friday 14th March 2003 - The gig list is looking pretty healthy for the rest of the year so we're expecting a memorable summer assuming 'we' don't destroy the planet before then. I think it's about time we had a few new pictures in the album, so maybe we'll capture some of this weekends adventures... Come back soon. Friday 7th March 2003 - Thanks to everyone who made Pete Prouds Rememberance Night so successful and enjoyable. We've got a weekend off, so maybe we'll see you out and about... Monday 17th February 2003 - This Friday (21st) evening, we will celebrate the life of Pete Proud at The Astor Theatre in Deal, along with many of his other friends and musicians who were lucky enough to have known him. Tuesday 21st January 2003 - New photos added and the gig dates are rolling in fast! Friday 10th January 2003 - STOP PRESS!! - A last minute gig date for the Cambridge Arms TONIGHT means that the GRANDAD OR CHIPS TOUR starts TONIGHT!!!! Thursday 9th January 2003 - We are pleased to announce that our 'Grandad or Chips' Tour begins on Saturday - (Thanks to Jamie for inspiration). You can now actually decide for yourself by signing our guestbook and choosing 'Grandad' or 'Chips' - We hope to publish our the results in the form of a pie chart. Grandad? or Chips?... Grandad or Chips?.... Sunday 5th January 2003 - Happy New Year and all that b*ll*cks, Happy New Everything actually. We're back, and ready for another year. Hi to anyone we met over the festive season, and especially to everyone at the GLASTONBURY BACKPACKERS! - Hopefully some news of our adventures might emerge soon... Friday 20th December 2002 - I've just discovered that we took a few pictures Wednesday night without knowing it (see previous entry for explanation) - the pictures are now in the photo album. Thursday 19th December 2002 - Thanks to Gavin yesterday at the Market Inn in Sandwich for feeding us copious amounts of Jamesons which would account for the memory blanks. It would probably explain why Jacob fell in the Christmas tree too. Monday 16th December 2002 - Congratulations to Becky and Brendan at The Walmer Castle on their engagement. I seem to remember we had a good time, although it's a bit of a blur. Some new photos will be added soon... "When the snow man brings the snow...." Ah yes, just a few gigs left now before Christmas, when we'll be taking a break till 11th January to reflect on the year's achievements(!) on a remote scottish isle... Friday 6th December 2002 - Jacob's got a sitar and a big bushy beard. Thursday 24th October 2002 - I know you haven't come here for bad news, but I can't believe that we have to say goodbye to another friend. If anyone knew how to live life to the full it was Toby (Rowbotham). We also remember how supportive Toby was when we lost our own brother Karl. Toby always seemed to find the best parties, gigs and festivals and I can't help feeling he's gone somewhere else because he knows something we don't. We hope his family can find the strength they need from wherever is appropriate for each of them. We send our love. Friday 11th October 2002 - It is with great sadness and fond memories that we say goodbye to Dave Parks. Our thoughts are with his family. Dave drove us to many gigs over the years and was (almost secretly) a good musician too. We celebrate the fact that Dave spent some time here in this world and that we were lucky enough to know him. Wednesday 9th October 2002 - As our photo album is now pretty near full, instead of deleting old pics, WE'VE MADE A NEW PHOTO ALBUM! I'm sure other stuff has happened, but at the moment I can't remember any of it... Monday 23rd September 2002 - We hope that RICHARD from Folkestone enjoyed the rest of his 21st birthday. I think Jacob enjoyed his - I noticed him losing consciousness a few times in the Strand last night during the ON THE BREW gig. ON THE BREW now have a web site which will be growing soon - to visit it in it's infancy, CLICK HERE. These are exciting times... strange forces are at work... Nobody told me there'd be days like these... LOVE is all you need. Friday 20th September 2002 - CHECK OUT THIS WEEKS EAST KENT MERCURY for a very young picture of Jacob in the birthdays bit - Yes he'll reach the big 30 on Sunday 22nd September! - And for the 99.9% of you that don't know us apart: JACOB'S NOW THE ONE WITH THE BEARD! Wednesday 18th September 2002 - No news is good news! - All our old news has been archived (see links above) That doesn't mean there's nothing happening - just check our gig-list to see there's plenty going on! |
