Puppies have arrived

Mom and pups are doing well...
    This is as pups are only a few hours old.  Born on October 4, 2005 beginning at 9am and the last being born 2 hours later.  It was a quick whelping and all is well with 5 pups, 4 males and 1 female.

A day old...

So cute at this age... just a day old and already trying to get up and about : ).  They sure do enjoy a good meal from mom though!
                    From minutes to hours old here is liter number one...

 One week old.

Growing fast... still just eating and sleeping most of the day.  Mom keeps them all clean and doesn't like them to have anything to sleep on anymore, no more towels, not even newspaper.  She's a good mom and cares for her pups well.  

 Two weeks old.

Their eye's are beginning to open now and thus they are beginning to crawl around much more!  This is the best stage yet!

The puppies are now up and walking around, even if it is sea legs : )  They are truly beginning to show their individual personalities!
