I've always been good at sewing and crafts, and have always been a learning and reading junkie.
My first computer was a lease return IBM PS/2 286 (in 1994). After accidentally erasing a vital part of the DOS , I began a jorney of learning that continues to this day. I quickly learned that store bought computers had many shortcomings, most originating from the inevitable corporate cost cutting.
So, I started upgrading my own and friends computers. After awhile I discovered that I too could assemble a whole system, often better than a factory, or even a computer specialist.
Learning about electrical and mechanical things and physics and chemistry was extremely challenging for me, but I did have the advantage of parents that had technical and scientific backgrounds. Electrical theory was the worst! But I'm good at it now. Except for the Formulae that is.
I made this site is to share my philosophy on computer construction and use.
