Most of these photos are taken with a Canon Elan IIe camera and 28-80mm USM; 75-300mm USM lenses. I use Fuji Sensia and Velvia for color slides, Kodak gold 100 for color negative films and T400CN by Kodak for black-and-white photography. See below for my favourite photography based links
The crater lake is part of The crater lake national park located in Oregon.
We reached crater lake towards later part of the afternoon. Part of the scenic Rim drive
was closed. However we were still able to visit some of the more
scenic lookouts.
The lake is the result of the eruption and collapse of
Mt. Mazama almost 7000 years ago.
It is surrounded by 20 mile rim of lava walls rising 500 to 2000 feet above water
and covered with pine, hemlock and fir.
The color is an indescribably brilliant blue
and smooth as a mirror. The snow capped mountains in the background provide a magnificient contrast.
