Immigration to Canada

Descendants of  

the Euteneier and Eiteneier families emigrated between 1893 and 1900 from Taurien to Canada. They settled in the region of Regina (Saskatchewan). Some of them moved in 1915/16 further to the Yakima Valley (Washington, USA). Today there are many families with one of these names in both regions. They all origin from Johann Ebert Eideneuer born in Wilgersdorf (Nassau-Siegen).
Franz Keller and Friederike Fey (born 27.Sep.1847 Alt-Nassau) emigrated between 1904 and 1912 from Taurien to Saskatchewan (Canada) and later to Oregon (USA). Friederike's greatgrandfather was Johann Georg Fey, born abt. 1752 in Holzhausen (Nassau-Dillenburg).

Some of their descendents are listed in the book mentioned before.

Moos families arrived New York with the vessel Ems on 16 May 1885. It is unknown yet, whether these people came from Taurien.

Moos, Michael 48 workman -- Moos, Margarethe 32 -- Peter 18 workman,
Heinrich 17 workman, Rosine 7, Johann 4, Magdalene 2 ½

and

Moos, Johann 27  Moos, Margarethe 25 -- Elisabeth 4 ¾, Johanna 2,
Heinrich 2  months, Friedrich 21
