Emi's Japanese Painting Art Collection

COCO's Comment

The "Japanese Painting Art Collection" which you are about to see is dedicated to my mother EMI IMAMURA who has been diagnosed as dementia praecox. It contains some of her Japanese painting collection - Flower Series - that were painted throughout her life when she was still keen and well. These art pieces are special and encouraging to all of us children because they still speak of her energetic spirit and the positive attitude that she had about herself and about her life. She was not only a mother to us but was also a very busy intelligent career woman, a business owner with my father. Out of her busy schedules, she tried to find precious moments to paint her Japanese paintings, and many of these won Gold Prizes from the Japanese government.

Her attitude of endlessly searching for her self-improvement was certainly encouraging and stimulating to me as I was growing up as a child and when I was going through some tough times in life. I thank my mother because her being there for me helped me through my life to come to where I am today. She was one good example of women whose life was a series of endless difficulties but was overcome with faith, a cheerful spirit, and endless attempts to persevere.

I want to tell my mother 'Thank You' for what she has done for me in my life and how much SHE still means to me today. I am proud to present her work through the Internet to art communities and to the world. I will be very grateful if you take some moments now, as a friend, to walk through a part of her life by means of seeing her artwork. I would be very thankful to see her looking happy again.
