It all started back in the early 1940's, when the Carison family farmed the land west of Highway 31 at the corporate limits of Seba Beach. In 1966, Earland Carison (The Father) sold the entire farm to one of his sons, Eric. Eric put his mobile home, along with another, on the top of a hill. On the bottom of the hill is now the driving range. He ran a gravel business, mining gravel from the campground, which is now home to Bulls By The Beach (Rodeo Grounds At Back Of Campground). 20 years later, the sons convinced their father to build a campground from the unused land which they called Kokanee Park. Shortly after that they built the driving range and in 1987, they built the restaurant. The only services they had were in the front of the campground. They planted trees and put in power and water lines. In early spring 1988, they opened for business. Eric ran the campground, and his wife ran the restaurant. With their sons help, they would be open in the summer months and closed in the winter. In 1998, they sold the campground to Terry Kersiake from Saskatchewan, who built the showers in the front, and put a 5th wheel Holiday trailer in as an office. Terry's parents and sister helped out and in March of 2003, Terry sold the campground to a resident near by named Len Quaghebeur. That's when everything started to change. Len has extensive experience in the publishing and fundraising business, having owned his own business for over 21 Years as it continues to grow at a record pace. He started construction almost immediately. He had a dream, shared by many, to develop the campground into a full service, seasonal campground with the amenities, from front to back. Then came along the Bulls By The Beach August Long Weekend attraction. To this day, it continues. There's new development going on every year, to make Kokanee Springs RV Park a better place to visit each and every year.
