Work hours
Teachers work 5 days or 35 hours per week with one hour lunch breaks. You will teach a maximum of 5 lessons per day with an adequate amount of time for lesson preparation, meetings, and material/curriculum development. Work hours and days will be set separately for each teacher. These are examples of work schedules:

Vacation and Holidays
Kohgakusha provides teachers with many opportunities to explore and enjoy Japan. We recognize all Japanese holidays (14 days total) and Sundays. In addition, we provide yearly paid holidays (10 days for the first year) and three major holiday periods throughout the year. Excluding national holidays, this adds up to more than five weeks.
