Frequently Asked Questions about the Knights and Council 12008 What exactly are the Knights? The
Knights
of Columbus is an organization of Catholic men dedicated to
Church, family, country and our fellow knights. Organized in 1882 by
Father Michael J. McGivney, a parish priest in New Haven, CT, the
order has grown to over 1.6 million members in over 12000 councils
following the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and
Patriotism.
Where are you located?
How often do you meet? Our membership meetings are at 7pm on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Our business meetings are at 7pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month. This is for all Officers and Committeemen. All Knights of Columbus members are also welcome.

What do you do? Please see our activities page for a description of past and future activities! We are a very active council and always open to suggestions if there is something that you would like to do!
How can I join? Contact us in one of the aforementioned ways and we'll make sure that you're taken care of!
Whom is eligible to join? Any Catholic man 18 years or older in practical communion with the Holy See (i.e. receiving the Sacraments).
How much does it cost to join? Dues are $25 per year and there is a $10 initiation fee for new members under the age of 26. For age 26 and over the fee is $25.00. The Knights are a very inexpensive organization to join, but if you cannot afford dues then please let us know and we'll see what we can do. Insurance is available but not mandatory. |
