Day 4:  The Uphill Battle
By Day 4, my arse has acquired a perpetual state of varying levels of pain and numbness, alternately.  My quads are full of lactic acid and stiff and sore and require regular stretching.  My knees are beyond help and require regular medication.  My arms get numb after hours on the bike in the same position and, yet, I am STILL LOVING THIS!   How perverse am I?  Wait..., don't answer that... :)
Day 4 was alternately sunny and rainy and shockingly hilly!  Not surprisingly, there are very few pictures of Day 4 as most everyone is entirely focused on simply getting over that next hill rather than stopping to have a photo op... Go figure...
Jill and Mike cruising along nicely... for now!
Mountain scenery along the way...
After a brutally long, sometimes excruciatingly painful day (this is the day that Kodie has her girlie breakdown and cries on the side of the road.) Kodie arrives into camp at long last!  My friends were there to cheer me in and it was an awesome feeling to ride into camp!  Greg said that I was his hero!  Hee-hee!  :)
Day 4 led me through the whole range of human emotions - happiness, frustration, despair, elation, tears and shouts of joy!  Making it through today was so worthwhile and so completely rewarding to be met with so much love and support as I rode into camp!  Many thanks to everyone who helped me through!
