With all the bones that ache in my body and the mind wandering into places that it shouldn’t quite be, I have started to think about the end. I have started to think that inevitability is something that you can not fight, but something you just have to accept. Maybe it is because I am starting to understand this world better… or maybe it is that I have stopped trying to understand. The world awaits in the middle of the shattered glass.
So with this said, my dreams of the end…
Take me away to the places I enjoy. Take me to the lands that I wish I were. The places I would always dream about as I sit here in the dimly lit environment of my life while the sun shines outside. Take me away…
Take me to the beaches of Hawaii and spread me out to swim with life below as the coral lie next to me… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the Mediterranean, feed me to the sunset as the sweet sounds of music play me to sleep… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the continent to the south… stay a while, enjoy the sites, the people, and the food. Have some fun. Laugh and play and dance. Find the places where people are the happiest and let me laugh next to them… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the Caribbean and lay me out in the sun as I work on darkening my glow… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the start of civilizations… where the stars give life… where wars rage on… where people find suffering in peace…Be careful, be aware, and be gentle to spread the life among the others… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the land of my mother and father… Eat the food because it is good there. Find the cultures different and the same. Understand a few words and find a place where I can call home and learn something myself… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to Singapore, where this life started its count. Take a break, travel to Thailand and enjoy a message. Visit the beaches of Indonesia. Taste the succulent foods of Malaysia. Visit the simplicity of Vietnam. Stare in awe at the temples in Cambodia. Take a secret, find a tree with a hole in it, whisper that secret and cover that hole with dirt. Forget. And when you have seen everything that life can offer, let me enjoy the revisiting of my birth… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the Maldives. Just because I've always wanted to be there…walk amount the huts and let your hands feel the waters as the ground tickles your feet. Make sure to take picture for your friends during your stopover in India… but remember to take some sand…
Take me to the Great Wall and let my ancestor teach me what I have missed out on… but remember to take some sand.
Take me home… but remember…
So come back with stories of your travels… make sure you visit where ever you need to visit while abroad. There is no hurry. There’s all the time. Let the people next to see what you saw and show them what the world looks like when it is not so big. Tell them how people are all the same. Begin to laugh before you cry. And with a hand, reach into your pocket and put together what you have seen from world to world. Put the sands of dreams together and mix them up… but make sure to let me have a nice little spot in the middle… I am away… I am together…
This
is my dream…
