Since I had so much time while I was away, I began to think of dumb things so expect to see many "vacation inspired" thoughts....
We were sitting in a busy area of Tokyo on a nice bright Sunday afternoon after a long day of walking around town. Name of the area = Roppongi. Always love that name. They apparently close off the streets to traffic to allow people to just walk around. Now why couldn't Robson be like that (with exception to the playoffs). We decided to just "people watch" and started to take pictures of random people. The best pictures you can find of people are the one where they are in their most natural element... just acting like themselves. Pose downs never turn out. You never get a true image of emotion, just fake smiles. No laugh or cry or yawn or sneeze can ever be imitated let along held for 10 seconds. I just like the taking a frame out of life and imposing it on paper.
Now do you ever wonder if you are sitting in someone's picture album. Someone out there has taken a photo of you and you don't even know it. I've taken pictures at parties and said "oh look, there's so-and-so in the background". They are obviously in my album and don't know it. How many pictures am I in as just a nameless face, as a blur in the background just to fill up space. How many times has the video camera recorded me walking across a frame. Just another face, unknown to the looker.
Wouldn't it be cool to meet someone someday
you didn't know, ask to see their pictures and see, what was your foreground,
became someone else's background canvas....
