| When Akira Toriyama created Dragonball in 1984, he
started off a phenomenon that would grip the anime world by storm, spawn countless movies, two
more epic series and become recognized as one of the most popular animes of all time.

| At the center of this phenomenon is the story of a
young boy, Son Gokou and his quest for the seven magical Dragonballs. These Dragonballs, when
combined, summon the powerful wish-granting dragon Shenglong. As the story progresses, Son
Gokou meets different characters some of whom become his allies and others his sworn enemies.

| Though Akira Toriyama initially conceived Dragonball
as an adventure story, the series eventually became more martial arts oriented, and now offers
some of the best fighting sequences on primetime television. |
