| Slam dunk's story starts when a Junior high school student made a record of being rejected 50 times with the 50th pick a basketball player instead of him. Thus, making our man, Hanamichi Sakuragi , to get mad and ready to mess with anybody that mention the game basketball. |

| But all of that change when one day she met Haruko Takenori who was a basketball enthusiast and as he wants to impress her join their school's basketball team even if he don't know anything about the game nor its rules and whatsoever. |

| He undergoes training with Akagi ( Haruko's brother and team captain ) that always criticize him but still follows whatever Akagi wants him to do in the name of love and perhaps for the love of the game. |
