FAQ - Knoxs Korner
Claymations:
Knox: I make my claymations by using a program called "QuickCam", and i use a "Logitech" webcam, quickcam should have an "animation" feature which will let you make stopmations (yes yes..claymations). Now what I do is move the little clay guys or object alittle, then add a frame, move them alittle, then add a frame..after that i click "Complete Frame by Frame" (or something like that) and I will take all of the frames and turn them into one .AVI file. Now in flash I go to "File" then "Import", find the .AVI file and import it into flash, the .AVI video now be in the flash, I usually switch the quality to 90% so that i can make the claymation longer, and the file size smaller. When I add sound I use "Sound Recorder" that comes with Windows. Save the sound clips, find them, then import them into the flash....and for sound effects I just use the ones that come with Flash MX..ha ha..yeah :) And there you go!
Movie Dubs:
For movie dubs I used to just take my webcam and record the TV screen while it played a dvd...then I would take the video file and import it into Flash, then I use "Sound Recorder" for the voices, I then import them as well..add them..and walla... Now...with my new ones (Matrix..and ones that will come after that).. I download the movie off of KaZaA then use Windows Movie Maker to cut the movie into little part, then I import then into the flash at 90%; then I do the same thing with sound. Tada!!
