Other Important Information

Sweeping the court - it is important that you have someone from your team sweep half the court at half time during the game. Failure to do this can result in penalty points being awarded to the opposing team.
(If the court is not swept by the 10 minute mark of the second half, the game can be awarded to the opposing team regardless of the score at half time.)

To stop a walkover - If you only have 3 players arrive for a game and can't find another Knox Cougars Player please ask the opposition if they will lend you a player, BUT, wait until just before the Referee calls the game a walkover just in case one of your players is just late. You wont win the game - even if you have more points on the board - but you will save the club from receiving a fine.
(Most opposition coaches will oblige and hopefully your team would do the same if it were the other way round.)

First aid kit - Perhaps you as team manager or perhaps another parent can bring a basic first aid kit to games, especially ones at outside venues. A towel, band aids, a crepe bandage, tape and if possible an ice pack. are just some suggested items you should try to have.
(This is just a suggestion, these items are helpful if a child does have an accident during a game and can perhaps prevent an injury becoming more serious.)

Training - It is a good idea if one or several parents can stay for training. You are not only showing your support and interest to your child but also to the coach who has volunteered their time. Having another adult present at training is also an advantage if a child falls ill or is injured, if your team is the last to train at an outside venue the coach often has to lock up and another adult is added security. If you are unable to stay at training we would encourage you to take your child inside to check that someone is there, and come in to pick them up so they are not waiting outside alone.
(We realise everyone is busy and often have other commitments but you can perhaps organise between the parents on your team who can stay, and share this between you all.)

Team Sheet Payment - Try to have correct money for the team sheet at each game - door keepers especially at the outside venues do not have a large float and often struggle to change a big note.
(A lot of clubs are now prepaying their team sheets reducing cash flow at venues.)
