SUMMER SEASON 2005/06 SECRETARIES REPORT
Welcome to another season with Cougars. I hope you are all happy and settling into your winter teams. As always we lose a few boys to footy over winter but our numbers are still strong, fielding 58 teams, with a record 5 under 8 girls teams and 4 under 8 boys teams.
We have had another successful final series with 29 teams going into finals for summer 05/06 season. 29 narrowed down to 14 going on to play in Grand Finals, coming away with 7 Premierships and 7 Runner Up teams. This is two more than the season before. Congrats to all players and their coaches on a job well done.
The club AGM is scheduled for 8th August at 7.30pm. Your attendance is important to enable the meeting to take place. We invite anyone interested in taking up a position to approach the committee prior to the date with expression on interest. For the club to continue to thrive and grow we need new blood, preferably parents of younger members. Our current committee is comprised of parents of higher age group players, and as sad as it may be, won't be around forever. We need volunteers to keep the Club alive. Please give it some thought.
