SUMMER SEASON 2005/06 PRESIDENTS REPORT

Welcome to winter season 2006. Good luck to all teams in grading. Congratulations to the teams that made finals in the summer season. A particular mention to the under 14/1 boys that overcame great difficulty and proved spirit can ring out the best in all of us. Further congratulations to ex Cougars that are making a mark in state basketball. Ben Healey and Josh Ashman have once again been chosen to represent the state at under 18 level. Ben given accolade of team Vice Captain. Good luck at nationals fellas.

The under 14/1 girls team has five representatives going to the U/14 Club Nationals to be played in September. These girls recently finished second at the National Classic going down to Sturt by 7 points - excellent effort girls.

Off the court Cougars are excelling. Georgia Carr is in New Your on a modeling contract whilst father Damien is at home playing Mr Mum to his other daughters. I assure Georgia will have many a story to tell on her return.

Please note all fees are well and truly due for this season. If payment has slipped your mind kindly remit your fees as soon as possible. If circumstances are not allowing payment at this stage please discuss the matter with Treasurer Russell Adcock.

A notice to all coaches - if you are short on team members do not recruit players to play from other Cougar teams without the knowledge of your age coordinator. The repercussions to the club are many and varied including fines, hence the importance of the coordinators involvement.

Please keep in mind the AGM is fast approaching. I would urge any parent with an interest in joining the committee to please step forward. I can assure you it is a rewarding experience and the club is always on the lookout for fresh ideas.

President Knox City Cougars

Greg McMahon
